Everything you need to know before stepping into ceremony.
Preparation is essential for a safe, deep, and meaningful journey. We recommend beginning your Dieta — dietary and lifestyle preparation — at least 2 weeks before the retreat:
- Avoid alcohol, cannabis, and recreational drugs.
- Limit or eliminate red meat, pork, fermented foods, and processed sugar.
- Reduce screen time and social media use.
- Begin a daily reflection or journaling practice.
- Meditate on your intention: what are you seeking from this journey?
Once registered, you will receive a detailed Participant Preparation Guide from our team.
When facilitated by experienced, trained practitioners in a ceremonial context with thorough screening, plant medicine can be deeply healing. However, it is not without risk.
Safety measures we take include:
- A thorough medical and psychological application screening for every participant.
- Pre-retreat consultations with our medical team.
- Experienced facilitators present throughout all ceremonies.
- A strict Dieta protocol to minimize physiological risks.
- Post-ceremony integration support.
Plant medicine is not appropriate for everyone. It is contraindicated in individuals with certain heart conditions, schizophrenia, active psychosis, or those taking specific medications. Full disclosure during the application is mandatory.
This is one of the most important safety questions. Certain medications can cause dangerous, potentially fatal interactions with plant medicines — particularly Ayahuasca (which contains MAOIs) and Iboga (which affects the heart).
You must NOT combine plant medicine with:
- SSRIs (e.g. Fluoxetine/Prozac, Sertraline/Zoloft, Escitalopram/Lexapro)
- SNRIs (e.g. Venlafaxine/Effexor, Duloxetine/Cymbalta)
- MAOIs (e.g. Phenelzine, Moclobemide)
- Lithium
- Antipsychotics (e.g. Quetiapine, Olanzapine)
- Stimulants (Adderall, Ritalin)
- Tramadol or other opioids
- Heart medications (antiarrhythmics, QT-prolonging drugs — critical for Iboga)
- St. John's Wort
Please consult your prescribing physician before applying. Our team will guide you on appropriate tapering timelines where medically safe and appropriate. Never stop psychiatric medication abruptly without medical supervision.
Our retreat fee covers everything from arrival to departure so you can focus entirely on your healing journey:
- Accommodation in a private or semi-private room (depending on retreat package).
- All plant medicine ceremonies: typically 3–4 Ayahuasca nights and/or 1 Iboga flood dose.
- Organic, nutritionally prepared Dieta meals throughout the retreat.
- Pre- and post-ceremony group integration circles.
- One-on-one integration session with a facilitator.
- Airport transfer from/to the designated meeting point.
- All materials and ceremony items.
Flights, travel insurance, visa fees, and personal expenses are not included. Optional extended integration support packages are available for purchase separately.
We understand that plans change. Our policy is designed to be fair to both participants and our small team:
- More than 60 days before the retreat: Full refund of your deposit, minus a 15% administrative fee.
- 31–60 days before: 50% refund of the total amount paid.
- 14–30 days before: 25% refund of the total amount paid.
- Within 14 days of the retreat: No refund. You may transfer your spot to another eligible person with our written approval.
In the rare event we must cancel a retreat, you will receive a full refund or the option to rebook at another date.
Our application process is intentionally thorough — your safety and readiness is our priority:
- Step 1: Complete our online Readiness Quiz to ensure basic eligibility.
- Step 2: Fill out the full Application Form, including your health and medication history.
- Step 3: Our team reviews your application (usually within 3–5 working days).
- Step 4: If approved, you will receive a welcome message with a deposit invoice and the Participant Guide.
- Step 5: A pre-retreat video call with a facilitator to answer your questions and align on intentions.
We intentionally keep our groups small (8–12 participants) to ensure deep, personal attention. Spots fill quickly, and we encourage you to apply early.
